Cosmetic Botulinum Toxin Injection

We offer Botox, Xeomin and Daxxify for our cosmetic botulinum toxin injections. Botox and Xeomin both contain botulinum toxin type A and are proteins. Xeomin is a more pure form of the protein without additional additives. Botox has been around for longer and was the first botulinum toxin to be FDA approved. Both take 2-10 days to set up and last for 3 months. Daxxify is a new product that also contains botulinum toxin type A but Daxxify combines its toxin with a unique peptide as a stabilizer. This lengthens the toxin’s effects giving results from 6-9 months. We generally recommend Botox or Xeomin for first time users to ensure the results are as desired before committing to the longer lasting Daxxify.

Most lines on the face are caused by repetitive creasing and folding of the skin by the underlying muscle. The injection of Botulinum toxin into identified muscles causes their relaxation and reduces the presence of wrinkles. These effects take 2-10 days to become evident and can last for up to 3 months. Common areas injected include between the eyes or the glabellar area (also called the 11s), horizontal forehead lines, crow’s feet in the outer eye area and radial lip lines (commonly known as smokers lines or kissing lines). The cost of these procedures is based on how many units of botulinum toxin are required. Each unit is $12 for Botox or $6 for Daxxify.

Typical units required:

Glabella, between eyes: 8-20 units for Botox and 16-40 units for Daxxify

Horizontal forehead lines: 8-20 units for Botox and 16-40 units for Daxxify

Crow’s feet: 6-12 per eye or 12-24 for both of Botox and 12-18 per eye or 24-48 for Daxxify

Brow Lift

Through precise placement of botulinum toxin in the depressor muscles of the brow, several millimeters of lifting of the brow can be achieved. This service costs $149

Lip Flip

The lip flip involves the precise placement of just a few units of botulinum toxin along the upper lip muscle, near the border, to relax and "flip" the lip making more of the upper lip visible. This creates a fuller, plumper, but natural-appearing upper lip. This service costs $99

Radial Lip Lines

The injection around the mouth to relax these lines and give a fuller more youthful appearing lip. This service costs $99

Treatment of Gummy Smile

This is a treatment to relax some of the elevator muscles of the smile thereby reducing the amount of gums shown during a full smile. This procedure cost $99.

Injection of DAO for downturned oral commissures (corners of the mouth)

Treatment involves injecting the Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) muscle which is one of the main depressor muscle of the corners of the mouth. We will discuss your desired result as it may not be attainable with botulinum toxin only, the addition of dermal fillers may be recommended to achieve your desired esthetic outcome. This service cost $99 for the botulinum toxin only.

Treatment for dimpling of the chin

As we age our chin muscles become chronically contracted giving the chin a wrinkled dimpled appearance. Treatment here cost $50 and involves injecting the muscles of the chin allowing the skin to relax and soften.

Injection of Platysmal bands in the neck

The Platysma muscle leads to the horizontal lines on you neck, commonly referred to as necklace lines. This service is based per unit. The range of units required ranges from 20-60 units. Smoothing PDO threads may be placed in the deeper necklace lines, thereby enhancing the effects of the botulinum toxin. These are placed for $15 a thread.

Enhancements

Appointments for enhancements are made 2 weeks after your initial treatment. At this appointment your results will be reviewed. If additional botulinum toxin is requested to achieve the desired result it will be injected at a cost of $10 per unit for Botox and $5.50 for Daxxify. This is only for areas injected during your initial treatment, if you decide to have new additional areas treated that rate will be $12 per unit for Botox and $6 per unit for Daxxify.
